comprehensive vision examination/consultation
Prior to beginning vision therapy, a patient is seen for one or more diagnostic evaluations by the doctor. This comprehensive assessment identifies areas of strength and weakness in visual coordination and information processing skills.

patient conference with the doctor
The doctor will then review and interpret the test results to determine if there is a need for vision therapy. If vision therapy is recommended, a treatment plan will be discussed with the patient at a conference appointment. The prescribed therapy, goals and expectations will all be outlined with the patient before therapy so he/she can make an informed decision whether or not to begin therapy.

weekly therapy
Patient sessions at the office will vary depending on the individual nature of the case. The typical treatment visit is 60 minutes. Some patient sessions are just 30 minutes, while others may be longer. In addition, the patient may be given tasks to work on at home - between office visits.

The frequency and length of treatment also varies with the diagnosis. Some patients come as infrequently as once a month, while others may come as often as 5 times per week. Our program is tailored to meet the goals of each patient with the greatest clinical results in the shortest amount of time.
