Significant Improvement With Eye Contact!
Our son, Will, is a 6 yr old with high-functioning autism. We heard about WOW Vision Therapy through our O.T., who was treating Will for Sensory Integration. We got Will evaluated as soon as possible, and found out his vision was 20/20, yet he was suffering from convergence insufficiency (inadequate eye teaming), tracking problems, difficulty with visual-vestibular integration, and had double vision from 8” away! Since starting therapy, we have seen significant gains in Will. He is now giving us sufficient eye contact, he can stay on task and finish a project with very few prompts. Will can now ride a two wheel bike with ease, and can balance on the wobble board without assistance – due to better balance and equilibrium. Will also has a sense of calmness about him he didn’t have before. He always had to be moving, running, or jumping around. Now we can go to a movie or out to dinner, and actually enjoy a meal because he can sit still and not get over stimulated! I would definitely recommend Vision Therapy to others. Will had a wonderful time with Jackie. She always made therapy fun for him and encouraged his every effort. Will’s teachers have also noticed a change too. We believe Will’s school years are going to be much easier for him due to his improved vision. Thank you Wow Vision!
