success stories - vision and learning

Volunteers to Read in Class!
My 8 year old son Ryan never wanted to do his homework, never wanted to read a book at home, and quite often he did not want to go to school. When I could get him to read to me, he would have problems with small words like “and” or “the”. He would tell me that the words moved a little and looked different when he tried to read them. Ryan has completed his vision therapy now and things have really changed. Ryan has jumped up two reading groups in his 3rd grade class. His teacher tells me that he now volunteers to read in class and he is even starting to show an interest in reading at home for enjoyment! His attitude has also changed. He just seems happier and it is a little easier to get him to try new things. He now realizes that he is very smart and that his “eyes just had to be fixed”. We are very grateful to Debra and everyone at WOW Therapy for changing Ryan’s whole future. He now has the skills and confidence to be very successful at whatever he chooses to do in life.
