no more headaches with reading

I started vision therapy because I had problems reading. I would get headaches while I was reading or after doing near vision work. I also got very sleepy when reading. I would either tilt my head or close one eye while reading to help me keep my place. I found myself either leaning in to get closer to the reading material, or holding the reading material too close to my face. I would also catch myself getting closer and closer to the computer screen. I would skip or repeat lines when reading and I had trouble keeping my attention centered on reading. Then my optometrist, Alan K. Montgomery, O.D. referred me to vision therapy. Now after completing vision therapy my reading has improved. I can read for a long period of time while keeping my attention on reading, and not feeling sleepy shortly after beginning to read. I no longer get headaches when reading and I don’t lose my place as often. I am faster at reading because I don’t have to repeat each sentence because of losing my place. I rarely tilt my head, or close one eye while reading. I do not hold my books too close or get too close to the computer screen. I would recommend vision therapy for anyone who is having problems reading. It is not only a way to improve your vision but it is a lot of fun! Thanks Jackie! Thanks Dr. Fortenbacher and the staff and wow vision therapy!
